Kabaka’s representative presides over the appointment of Parish Chiefs in South and West England
Parish Chiefs in the South and West England region, within the UK and Ireland county, have taken oaths and been ushered into their leadership roles.
The ceremony was led by the Kabaka’s representative to the UK and Ireland, Owek. Ssaalongo Geoffrey Kibuuka, and held in Feltham, West London, where seven chiefs were officially introduced to their positions.
In his message, Owek. Geoffrey Kibuuka encouraged the leaders to unite Kabaka’s subjects without discrimination and to honour His Majesty through exemplary character and conduct befitting those in leadership.
This historic ceremony was the first of its kind in the UK and Ireland county, and drew over 300 of Kabaka’s subjects from across the region.

The South and West England Bbendobendo is led by the Deputy Representative of the Kabaka to the UK and Ireland, Omuk. Janet Nabatta Mukiibi, who spearheaded the planning with support from her executive committee.
During the event, children and youth showcased their talents and took part in a Luganda language quiz, with winners receiving various prizes.
The appointed Parish Chiefs are:
- Southwark and Lambeth – Miss Esther Kyembe
- Croydon and Bromley – Mr Richard Nkalubo
- Kingston and Richmond – Miss Josephine Nabaweesi
- Greenwich and Lewisham – Mr Polycap Kakande
- Southampton and Exeter – Mr Eddie Semwanga Kimbowa
- Surrey and Sussex – Ssaalongo Mwebya Solomon
- Kent and Dover – Mr Aaron Mutumba

Over 300 of the Kabaka’s subjects gathered for the event, sharing a celebratory dinner and enjoying refreshments in a spirit of unity
