Sub-County Leaders in the region of the South and West of England, in the UK, were appointed and sworn in to this leadership.
The ceremony which took place on Sunday 4th May 2025 at Feltham, West London saw Kabaka’s Representative in UK & Ireland – Oweek Ssaalongo Geoffrey Kibuuka swearing in seven Sub-County Leaders.

In his message, Oweek Geoffrey Kibuuka urged the Sub-County Leaders to bring together Kabaka’s subjects without discrimination and to strive to honour the Kabaka by displaying good manners and behaviour befitting of a leader.

The historic event was the first of its kind in the UK and Ireland and brought together more than 300 subjects of the Kabaka and their friends, who were in attendance.
Mukungu Janet Nabatta Mukiibi, the leader of South and West England Bbendobendo spearheaded the organisation of this ceremony together with her Bbendobendo Executive Committee.
At the event, Children and youth showcased their talents and also participated in the Luganda language competition, where the winners were awarded prizes.
The seven Sub-County Leaders sworn-in were:
- Southwark and Lambeth- Miss. Esther Kyembe.
- Croydon and Bromley - Mr Richard Nkalubo
- Kingston and Richmond- Miss. Josephine Nabaweesi.
- Greenwich and Lewisham- Mr. Polycap Kakande.
- Southampton v Exeter - Mr. Eddie Semwanga Kimbowa.
- Surrey and Sussex- Ssaalongo Mwebya Solomon.
- Kent and Dover- Mr. Aaron Mutumba.

The ceremony was attended by Prince Herbert Kateregga, Hon Kabuuza Mukasa from the Nabagereka Development Foundation, Bulemeezi County Treasurer Dr Kyeyune, Sheikh Kalantane Yiga and many others.
