The Katikkiro signs the workshop banner during the launch ceremony
The workshop will run under the theme: “The Family as the Foundation of Humanity.”
While launching this year’s edition, the Katikkiro (Prime Minister) of Buganda, Charles Peter Mayiga, expressed concern over the decline of humanity as people increasingly engage in harmful, divisive, and unproductive behaviors.
He thanked the senior clan leaders for selecting a theme he described as deeply significant.
The Katikkiro urged the people of Buganda to participate in the workshop, which is scheduled for October 24.
He emphasized that a true scholar is one who is committed to lifelong learning and encouraged people to take interest in revisiting the cultural values they were born into, including traditions and heritage.
