RCC Ariho presents gifts to the Katikkiro.
Moses Ariho, the newly appointed Deputy Residential City Commissioner for Lubaga Division, visited the Katikkiro at the palace to introduce himself in his new role.
The visit aimed to strengthen the relationship with the Buganda Kingdom to ensure better service delivery for the people of Lubaga.
The Katikkiro highlighted that special sites within the palace should be closely monitored as neglect could lead to security risks.
These include the Lubiri of Mengo, Kasubi Tombs, Bulange, Lubaga Cathedral, Namirembe, and the Kabaka’s Lake — all critical landmarks in Lubaga.
He stressed that effective security depends on good communication and cooperation, and that engaging with stakeholders is crucial for enabling security personnel to access accurate information.

The Katikkiro bids farewell to his guest
During the election period, the Katikkiro urged the RCC to handle all political opposition parties carefully to avoid any display of force, noting that powerful forces have previously passed through the palace.
Moses Ariho explained that it had been challenging to begin his duties without formally introducing himself at the palace.
He thanked the Katikkiro for his long-standing service to the country, particularly in educating and mobilizing people to fight poverty through the Mmwanyi Terimba initiative, which has produced tangible results in households and communities.
