The head of the Enjaza clan, Omutaka Kitanda Samuel Bakisuula Kiwanuka, has urged Baganda to stop the habit of selling off land and has expressed the view that if land is used for various projects, it can indeed be preserved from being taken by grabbers.

Speaking from the Lubiri in Mengo during a ceremony to present gifts to the Kabaka, brought by Ggombolola Mutuba III Nnyimbwa in Bulemeezi, Omutaka Kitanda explained that land with nothing on it is more easily taken by opportunists who use different deceptive tricks to swindle the rightful owners. He therefore called upon the descendants of Buganda to make use of their land to avoid such problems.

The Gombolola chief of Mutuba III Nnyimbwa, Kalyesuubula Enosi, who led the people of Bulemeezi in bringing gifts, pledged to continue serving His Majesty and also urged the Baganda to increase their participation in all development programs.

The Kabaka’s county chief, Mr. Moses Luutu, appealed to parents to take good care of their children, especially during the upcoming election period.
