The Katikkiro has officially launched the book "Okutambula Kulaba, Okudda Kunyumya" written by veteran author Muzeeyi Oswald Ssemmanda Ssebwolero Ssekayombya, during a celebration marking his 95th birthday at his home in Kabulamuliro.
In his speech, the Katikkiro said:
“The greatest gift to a person is life, but there are things that give life meaning. Over his 95 years, the celebrant has shared with us the story of his life, reminding us that life has purpose. Words spoken without being written down are easily forgotten, but when documented, they can be remembered even 95 years from now.”
He encouraged people to cultivate a reading culture:
“As Africans, we still have the weakness of not reading books. I urge you to read and learn. Reduce the time you spend watching television and instead open a book. Technology today demands that we keep learning — and Mr. Ssemmanda is a shining example of lifelong learning.”

Cutting the cake during the 95th birthday celebration.
Speaking at the event, Kamalabyonna noted that longevity is a blessing but comes with challenges, and thanked God for sustaining him to this age.
He expressed deep gratitude for his long and happy marriage, and for the creativity and hard work that have shaped his life’s journey.
