Women touring different sites in Sweden
Women from Buganda who travelled to Sweden for the Women and Children’s Convention today took time off to relax on the Silja Symphony ferry, sailing from Sweden to Helsinki, Finland.
The retreat was aimed at refreshing minds and strengthening families, particularly among couples. This underscored the theme of the convention: “Strong families and meaningful relationships in development.”
Oweek. Mariam Nkalubo Mayanja, Minister for Gender in the Kingdom of Buganda, led the delegation. She was supported by the organising committee chaired by the Kabaka’s representative in the Scandinavian region, Oweek. Nelson Mugenyi, together with chiefs and other Kingdom officials living in the area.
