Owek. Joseph Kawuki welcomes Hon. David Kalwanga Lukyamuzi, MP for Busujju, who represented his fellow MPs during the presentation of gifts to the Kabaka on the occasion of his 32nd coronation anniversary.
Members of Parliament from the Buganda Parliamentary Caucus have delivered gifts and a message of gratitude from His Majesty the Kabaka, in celebration of his 32nd coronation anniversary.
The Treasurer of the Caucus and MP for Busujju County, Hon. David Kalwanga Lukyamuzi, presented the gifts on behalf of his fellow MPs to the Minister of Local Government and Buganda Affairs, Owek. Joseph Kawuki.
MP Kalwanga stated that it is their responsibility to support such important royal initiatives. He noted that the caucus chose to offer the ettu—a traditional gesture of honor—in recognition of the Kabaka’s contributions to the Kingdom over the years.
Minister Kawuki received the gifts on behalf of the Second Deputy Katikkiro, Owek. Robert Waggwa Nsibirwa, and expressed appreciation for the MPs’ dedication to participating in the coronation activities and their continued support of the Kingdom.
