The Katikkiro, Charles Peter Mayiga, sent his condolences to the family of the late Oweek. Tofiri Kivumbi Malokweza, praising him for his dedication to serving the Kabaka and inspiring others to love the Kingdom.

The message was delivered by the Speaker of the Buganda Parliament, Oweek. Patrick Luwaga Mugumbule, at Lubaga Cathedral during prayers for the soul of the late Oweek. Tofiri Kivumbi Malokweza, the former Kyaddondo County chief and papal officer.

During the ceremony, Oweek. Patrick Luwaga Mugumbule described the late Kaggo as a man who had greatly contributed to building and promoting the services of the Kingdom.

The Archbishop of the Diocese of Kampala, Paul Ssemwogerere, who presided over the Mass, urged people to serve their country through various services so that their legacy is remembered by future generations.

Joseph Busirike, speaking on behalf of the children and family, thanked the late Oweek. Tofiri Kivumbi Malokweza for being an exemplary leader and a role model for the community.

The service was attended by Nnaalinnya Sarah Kagere, Buganda Minister of Local Government; Hon. Joseph Kawuki, Buganda Minister of Culture and Traditional Affairs; Hon. Dr. A.S. Anthony Wamala; retired Katikkiros; chiefs from various provinces; relatives; and friends of the late.

The body of the late Oweek. Tofiri Kivumbi Malokweza was taken to his home in Ngondati village, Buddu, Masaka, where he will be laid to rest on Wednesday.
